What we do – season after season
At the Broadway Mall Association, our work – daily, yearly, and each season – is to care for the five miles of green space in the center of Broadway.
Through native plant restoration, public art, and ongoing care, we transform the medians that dissect Broadway into gardens where people, culture, and nature meet. The intersection of our three core programs – The Great Green Way, Art on the Malls, and Neighborhood Enhancement – reimagines and sustains the malls as shared public spaces.
It all makes an impact – now and perennially.
The Great Green Way
We are restoring the Broadway malls into a continuous, climate-resilient green corridor, through native plantings and ecological design. The Great Green Way supports birds, bees, and urban biodiversity while cooling streets, improving air quality, and creating more sustainable landscapes.
Public Art
Through our Art on the Malls program, we bring sculpture and installations into Broadway’s green spaces — transforming the malls into open-air galleries.
Neighborhood Enhancement
From seasonal plantings and winter lighting to daily maintenance and community events, we keep the malls welcoming and beautiful year-round.
